Something I have found disturbing for a while now, is the sudden increase in content promoting women as vicious serial killers, assassins, violent criminals, extreme woman-on woman violence, all with the veneer of "go equality! girl power!"

I find it a disturbing trend to make it seem "cool" and 'empowering' that women can be not just bad-asses, but violent unhinged out of control perpetrators of violence. That's not, and should never be, what power is about.

Can we just move past force and violence and dominance as the paradigms of our human condition, and make to cool to give a shit and committing to ending those things?

A female fight club would not physically fight. Women, Western women, do not fight like that. They won't connect to women who do that. There isn't a realistic story to tell there. What women do to fight is spread vicious rumors and get people on their side. They remove the ground around their victim until the victim has nowhere else to go (everyone either believes the rumor or is friends with someone who does). Once you're isolated, then the person pulls the trigger and you're done.

That's female fight club. Not compelling. No terrorist plot or private Army. Bla

Its annoying because on the one hand you want to dismiss things like this as 'fake news', but when you look at history (Ghosbusters, Charlies Angels, Star Wars) you see that its not just possible.

Its inevitable.

Thank goodness for Dune 2020.
