If I was 9 like I was when the first one came out, I'd probably like this one too. You'd probably be better off watching The Goonies instead.

Shit I wasn't even 9 when it came out. I remember watching the second one with the pink goo coming out of the sewers when I was like 5 and I voluntarily cut myself off and went to bed (aka: too scary) lol.

Certainly better than the last effort, some original thought involved. About all I can tell from the trailer.

And I like Paul Rudd, so there's that.

What I really enjoy is how they allowed the old characters to remain relevant and honored - and yet shuffle the timeline along. Obviously actors die - and age, it's sad - but it's the exact opposite of what happened with Star Wars, which was an "out with the old, in with the new - as fast as possible" mindset. Chuck luke and han and everyone in the trash bin and get young faces out there. Lame.

Definitely going to give this one a shot.
