Thanks for making this /s/Military sub. It has been on my list for a LOOOOOOONG time, and while I have a long list of subs I want to see made, this was among the very top, planned for the next few weeks.

Oddly, I've been drafting a post about all these subs and other ideas and how I'm going to quit SaidIt as we know it to pull back, focus, and create interactive community and content projects. Keeping up on the news is addictive, but I already know it's all corrupt - so I need to be productive in developing solutions and maybe even make an income.

Sadly I fucked up my back a couple weeks ago and I just can't think clearly. When I make this change I want to be compelling to make an impact. So it might be another week or few...

Ah, have you heard about greatawakening.win & other sites? Maybe you could make a .win site ~ I'd join it in a heartbeat! :D

I appreciate the support sentiment, but I'm not interested in starting yet another forum. However, I do plan on setting up a PeerTube and some websites this year - all for these projects, some interrelated.

One of those projects is not to set up another forum - but to lay the foundations for the next generation (or few) forums. I can work on 2 of the 3 critical aspects. I will not do the coding aspect, but I can develop the goals and plans for how we could cultivate a better community with stronger distributed leadership and democratic ideas and a public square to hash things out. It won't be perfect but it would be better than a SaidIt monarchy adrift without goals. I will draft a rough manifesto and collectively we can improve it, add notes, caveats, fork it, etc. Hopefully it might be a guide for many future forums. SaidIt is a good start, but we can do better, must, and must try.

The remaining part that I want to develop is the fundamental functionality of future forums. Again, I am drafting something of a wish list or to do list for coders. More important that simply adding modular functionality, I want to overhaul to improve some of the concepts and purposes and flow of the GUI. I firmly believe I have some serious new game changers for common sense features that need to be built into the next gen forums - as well as the well known things we don't have yet. Again, I plant the seed with my first draft, then others can provide feedback and help evolve it. If these are reasonably inspiring I don't see why they can't be made, even if it takes a couple years.
