The biggest trauma wasn't the realization, although that hurt. It was the hate that came at me from all my friends. I'm now a right wing nazi fascist, apparently.

Yeah, me too. I believe in individual liberty, freedom of speech and association, and private property. Totally a WWII German National Socialist.

Yeah, it’s very difficult. I’m lucky to have some friends who sympathetic/basically agree with me but my larger social circle is lock step left.
