Nah it's legit dude. You just have to pay like 50k for a mantra lol (or so I've heard, I'm not really positive about that) but they're definitely a cult. Celebrities are all into it so it might be some kind of job network thing or you pay for tax exemption type scam like scientology (pay X amount and get a tax exempt "priesthood" type of thing).

It's definitely fishy as hell.

TM is repeating a mantra over and over in your head for 20 mins.

There are different ideas in meditation practices that I don't agree with nor follow, but I always get benefits from meditation in the form of stress relief and the mind-body connection.

While the world is going completely mad, just by sitting still & doing fuck all for 20 minutes, it just doesn't matter.

Quantum Pause Breathing — 10 minutes of this type of breathing and you won't even recognize you are in a body anymore by EndlessSunflowers in Meditation

"Produce massive amounts of DMT in the lungs"... no you fuckwits, that's oxygen deprivation. Your lungs aren't getting you high.

The most you're going to feel from this is a bit of stress relief. Site uses 6 seconds, but the whole breathing/hold/exhale/hold thing is used for both meditation and as one of many "skills" taught in the mental health field.

"To obtain immortality from such activities," said the Patriarch, "is also like scooping the moon from the water." "There you go again, Master!" cried Wukong. "What do you mean by scooping the moon from the water?" The Patriarch said, "When the moon is high in the sky, its reflection is in the water. Although it is visible therein, you cannot scoop it out or catch hold of it, for it is but an illusion."

I've only read his 'The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are' and it was very accessible.

I really like his voice and mostly his black and white lectures before he got the beard. It is a good thing to keep in mind (and sobering) that he drank himself to death https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Watts#Death .

I've loved Alan Watts' relaxed atmosphere of wit and wisdom for decades, so I was delighted to discover this channel. I really can't hear any of it too many times, it's always delightful and enlightening.

Many people I've suggested him to mention his books seeming inaccessible--whether they are or not, his talks are easy, smart, and direct in the best kind of way. Some of his cultural references are dated, to be sure, but the rest is timeless wisdom all the way, imo.

Excellent book and a fast read. I read the Four Agreements companion book as well but lost interest in it.

There is also a Fifth Agreement.

"Don Miguel Ruiz's son, Don Jose Ruiz, has subsequently released a sequel with his father, The Fifth Agreement, which adds a further agreement." 5. Be skeptical, but learn to listen.

Maybe selfish, but....if one is fulfilled by helping others, I think that person may be just a good person. Adding positivity to the collective conscious bank yields good returns for all.

Helping you, helps me! It makes me feel good. Helping others feel good and loved makes me feel good and loved. It's selfish you see.

Thank you for posting this!

Weird synchronicity, I've been half heartedly searching "beginning meditation" in the last 2 weeks or so. Nothing I find seems to sit well with me, but my search stems from a foggy, disconnected mind and frustration. This, I don't know, it just fits what I was looking for. Much appreciated!
