The question is why anyone would believe what the west says about Russia any more than what Russia says about the west. Both are lying. Which side has more bodies in its count in the past twenty years?

Anyone actually watch Russian news?
Deep state geopolitical propaganda is like 99% fake news. Russia's news is biased, but they tend not to make random shit up.
Biolabs in Ukraine for instance, turned out to be real, it was the US that initially lied and claimed they didn't exist. Most US adversaries don't need to lie as the deep state is evil enough. When you dig into conspiracy theories, they're even more evil beyond what anyone can imagine.

The one good thing about watching our adversary's news is we find out things our own "media" wishes to hide from us. But definitely take what they say with a MASSIVE grain of salt.
