We cut the cable about the same time Covid hit. We were already tired of the lying MSM.

The trouble is most of them aren't lying, most really believe this stuff. The journalists often are more scared and less informed than the public.

No, they literally lie. Knowingly and willfully. They believe it is thier job to shape public opinion and they twist everything to that end. Nothing is reported straight anymore. It is not a question of whether they are lying but to what extent. Sure, there may be some untruths that they truly do believe, but no doubt there are many lies they attach to it just to get people to think a certain way about it.

Some do some don't.

Life isn't as black and white as you'd like it to be.

There is nothing black and white about what I said. Your claim is baseless. You can't name a single mainstream news source that doesn't lie.

And news sources are all made up of hundreds of people, some who lie and some who don't.

The bbc lost its way long before that. They lost it when they went full politically correct.

Sorry to nitpick, but the BBC (and all the other alphabet MSM) never found the way on covid. You can't lose what you never had.
