This "security" excuse is absurd. If you can DDOS one tiny bit of the app that's new and actually live in production, then you are doing something wrong.

well, you can't really ddos one part of an application. Thats not really how that works. You could see that certain parts of the application are not as efficient as others and conduct your efforts at that weak point.
