my words are but dust in the wind to these dummies trying to lump 160-10 meters (HF) in with microwave frequencies (300 MHz - 300 GHz)

Your butt dust words are confusing. Can summarize what's being said at Voat, in contrast to your assessment? Higher frequency = higher photon energy, which is generally associated with higher risk of unforeseen consequences.

 

I'm on the fence about the severity of 5G risks. However, I am in favor of making the telecoms deliver on their promise of delivering 1 Gbps using 4G frequencies. The existing bandwidths should be optimized; prior to rolling out 5G. 5G is sure to be a battery killer, and I don't know of any common applications that require more than 1 Gbps of data to function efficiently.

 

4G works just fine, so the state should not force communities to use 5G if they're opposed to it.

essentially, a post was made on voat, and essentially EHF/microwave, which i believe is where 5G is at. 5G is planned to operate at 28, 38, and 80 GHz.

now anyone who understands radio, understands the basic fact, the higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength. hence 3.5 MHz being the 80 meter ham radio band.

the bands are aptly named on the wavelength. Citizens band (CB) operates around 27 MHz which has a wavelength of 11 meters.

the microwave frequencies begin at 300 MHz. the only ham radio bands in this range that i know of are 70 CM (420-405 MHz), 33 CM, 902-928 MHz, and 23 CM (1.2-1.3 GHz).

keep in mind that ham radio has an RF power output limit for each band. and unless you have the money, your only gonna be transmitting 4 watts on VHF and UHF.

5G which is gonna be transmitting on 3 major double digit frequencies in the GHz range are gonna be at 2 KW's. testing was done recently with 5G and over 100 birds in the area suddenly died where the test took place during the test.

as everyone knows, microwaves are potentially dangerous.

what happens in our conventional consumer bought microwaves to our food? electromagnetic and radio waves are used to heat the food, this happens through both the amount of power going into the food, and the very short wavelength of the microwave frequencies. would anyone hack and mod a microwave so they could stick their hand in there and turn it on? idk, and i hope not.

the point is that microwave frequencies have a very short wavelength. alot of so called ham operators who bought a pos chinese radio (baofeng) and suddenly think they know anything and everything on radio and radiation are morons, lol.

you learn radio by using it, by listening to other operators who have real experience, those who tinker, lol.

the argument can be made that no physical damage has been made by a ham radio in UHF frequencies upon personal observation, but the radios in question for the most part, only transmit 4-10 watts. and their not transmitting 24/7 like 5G will be.

who knows exactly what will happen when these 5G towers are turned on worldwide, but my suggestion is dont go near one

Liquid water molecules absorb lighter in the microwave bandwidth, which excites the water molecules as their energy is increased. Most molecules are functionally transparent to microwaves, so they are unaffected.

However, there's no way of knowing for sure whether some rare (but crucial) molecules in in our nervous system or endocrine system, and inadvertantly wreck millions of developing children.

5G technology should be rigerously beta tested for a decade on the households of executives at Qualcom and other major Telecoms. Then we can discuss rolling it out to the public.
