Actually that sounds like (more than?) fair compensation to me.
As for getting deleted from Reddit for no good reason... yeah, that's Reddit for ya.

The thing is though, all that compensation comes from taxpayer funds, not police funds. So the police are not affected by this at all. Taxpayers are compensating this person for police crimes. That's the problem
