This is a link to the undelete thread, which is a subreddit that tracks posts deleted from the front page. A lot of articles that call out police misconduct get removed for frivolous reasons

Yes, and they apply the rules unevenly to censor things they don't want. It's one of the many reasons we created saidit

Actually that sounds like (more than?) fair compensation to me.

It is, but that shouldn't have had their home raided in the first place and by a SWAT team.

The thing is though, all that compensation comes from taxpayer funds, not police funds. So the police are not affected by this at all. Taxpayers are compensating this person for police crimes. That's the problem
