Will Reddit die? Or will the sheep continue to graze in the poisoned pasture?

The latter. There will be migrations away from reddit, but probably no "death knell" like there was for digg.com, because reddit is so compartmentalized with the subreddit system. It'll go in waves as people reach their limit with whatever subreddits they care about. Reddit is going IPO in 2020 so they're all about keeping those user numbers up and keeping everything looking nice and "family friendly" for investors.
