The reasoning for the porn ban is there's legal issues involved with porn that gore just doesn't cause. It has nothing to do with offensiveness or content, it has everything to do with the admin not wanting legal flak on such a small site with little moderation.

I've personally asked him about it and that's his reasoning.

If they made murder videos illegal maybe they would be banned too.

Your reply sounds condescending and manipulative. It's a good point that murder doesn't have to be worst than porn and you didn't address the point in any way. Naming child porn or wars doesn't add anything to the debate or legitimate your reply.

Systemic wars, mass media and porn, laws and cenosrship are all fucked up.

Systematic wars, mass media and porn, laws and censorship...Name that set...for me it wouldn't be "fucked up", but yet you place them all together as a group. That's quite the sophism. There's no point in debating because all the system is fucked up and it is the same having a file than murdering someone.

And again nothing to the point, point being, btw, that porn is banned in saidit.

Well, I would argue that porn is made consensually as entertainment but wpd is not unless it is a streamed suicide. And I still like wpd. I learned about this site through the banning of wpd, I like what I learn in that sub.

That's not my point. I'm not advocating for porn on SaidIt. I'm explaining the whole system is fucked up. And that's why there's no porn on SaidIt.

The down side is there's no porn on SaidIt.

The up side is that SaidIt is a classier place.
