In 2019: Today's daughters could be tomorrow's fathers.

I thought of that too. I just don't have much to say about it.

It doesn't seem sexist to me but I'm not a gamer. MILF though. I forgot how long a thread can get on reddit.

Why do you believe girls will become mothers? Or is it only "gamer girls" who must become mothers?

I see what you mean but the meme was generalizing there. Are you a mother? :) Just joking. I'm guessing you're in the UK but it could be Oz. And you're not a mother but a dirty old man, like me..\

I just think it would be better for girls to decide for themselves whether or not to become mothers.

Absolutely and good on them if they opt out of the carpet monkeys. Kids are great in short bursts but I never wanted to own any. Luckily, my wife feels the same way.

Most people do a terrible job of caring for their children anyway.

And the kids end up hating their parents often.

Big deal. When I was a kid we had t.v. that couldn't be paused and my mother knew it. And she didn't care.

So these mothers won't pause their online games to care for their kids?

In the purest form of objectivity, sure. But then, in pure objectivity, I'd argue sexism doesn't exist, since it's a social construct.

It's making a generalization based off our society's residual stigma that most girls will/should become mothers. It also follows the trend of proclaiming that the actions of young people now will be the ones to foster the next generation, which is common for men as well. So, I don't believe it to be sexist, objectively or referentially. It's just one of those societal tropes that's persisted since time began. Go forth and have/don't have children!
