Of all the words to globally automod off the site, I can’t believe they chose that one. Makes me wonder what other words are on the no fly list.

Try making bunch of posts containing offensive words and see what gets booted.

Whoa whoa whoa there's an admin automoderator deleting comments on all subs with the word "faggot" and they will be updating the site policy to reflect this soon? Huge changes.

Admins first response:

Hey everyone, I just wanted to weigh in on this thread. First let me clarify that we do not have a policy against the use of any words on the site (interesting video). The comments in question are in violation of our harassment policy as they are clearly designed to bully another user. We have, however, been working on building models that quickly surface comments reported for abuse and have a high probability of being policy-violating. This has allowed our admins to action abusive content much more quickly and lessen the load for mods.

I’m planning a more detailed post on our anti-abuse efforts in /r/redditsecurity in the near future. Please subscribe to follow along.

That's even more worrying I reckon.

So a keyword trawl bot...

Yep and they're likely using the same bot to read PMs. RIP Reddit.

Reddit doesn't care about bullying: chapotraphouse, shitredditsays, topmindsofreddit, and etc are all given free reign to harass people.

The admins of reddit need to see a trial in court, and sentenced to death as is constitutionally allowed for treason.

Nah, what needs to be done is turning their own stuff against them. They want to seem like the liberal happy fun paradise site, but also keep TD. What needs to happen is getting the media on them - Reddit gets so much money from TD that they would be torn between admitting they are hypocrites and getting torn to shreds by fairly anti trump media, or removing TD and having the site get torn to shreds by a bunch of people pissed off that their stomping grounds were removed over a little media pressure

Basically set up a Lose/Lose condition for them. They want to have their censorship cake and eat it too? Then let them choke on it

I don't mind the existence of subs like that per se, but what ticks me off is that the Reddit admins claim to not allow harassment but don't do shit against those subs.

Because they all hang out with the reddit admins on slack.
