Luckily for Reddit, the vast majority of its actual 'workforce' consists of dickless losers on power trips who mod for free.

I think back to the early days of Reddit sometimes, like 2008-2009. It was better in a lot of ways, and more open, but also tremendous cringe-fuel. I remember how people on the "trees" subreddit would put little numbers in parentheses at the end of their posts to indicate how high they were (1-10 scale I think). Makes me want to crawl right out of my skin just thinking about it LOL. And then you had all the "tips fedora" bullshit, Aalewis-style atheist circle-jerking, etc.
