Of course it's locked. After all, the key to a good forum is to cease allowing people to converse as soon as possible. What do they think this is? A discussion forum?

While I'm not the biggest fan of Reddit mods in general, legal advice mods are very strict about keeping posts, and comments within them, on point. And locking posts when it looks like they're going to finally reach a point where just deleting extraneous comments won't do the job anymore. So they're actually being entirely consistent with their own long-established standards for content here.

I guess the question is then, how did this get locked? I'm sure there was some good discussion to be had. Then again, even if you mention this guy's race, there's bound to be people who will cry racism, even if it's germane to the conversation.
