I’m a parent and while it’s been hard work, it’s been one of the best things I’ve done with my life. As I’ve said to my friends, I can point at my kid and say that I’ve done at least one good thing.

To each their own, but I find child free types to often be still stuck in their own childhoods. It’s not an accident that a lot of what used to be “children’s” entertainment (Disney, for example) now caters to the Reddit politics of childless 30 and 40 something year olds.

Sure, you can be the 40 year old with the best Funko pop collection or the cool wine aunt still hitting the bottomless mimosa brunch, but that can’t be fulfilling forever.

The men can at least still course correct and find younger women of child bearing age. The women just get fucked (literally and figuratively) and sometimes go crazy when they realize their chance to have kids has passed. Or they are just at the end of the window and they settle for any guy who looks at them and are planning a wedding and a baby at the same time. It’s sad.

Well, given what tend to be the politics of the child free, they will have to pretend to not have racist thoughts when they’re getting abused by Haitian nurses in the retirement home because they have no kids to care for them.
