Hard to say what is bait and what isn't there. Occaisionally I look both at /r/ftm or /r/mtf for the lulz but honestly I think it's a mix of trolling and larping.

It's a mix of obvious outrage bait or the validation bait and frankly both types smell trolly to me.

You can really trigger them if you do the scary campfire story of the friend with super conservative parents that disappears to camp for a few months and comes back cis but with a weird scar on their head and a new imaginary friend they chat with.
