I would stop saying shalom if I were you. If you haven't noticed history is repeating itself...hopefully the good guys win this time. I'd imagine they will have a much more difficult time dragging the world into another war since next time their opposition will be the most powerful country in the world in the USA.

Shalom is a Hebrew word meaning peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquility and can be used idiomatically to mean both hello and goodbye.
