A POWER vaccum only attracts those who are power-hungry to take the position. At least the 20th century had power-hungry people who WERE COMPETENT at attracting votes take up those positions. They had at least a modicum of a claim to competence at SOMETHING.

But deposing the "ruling class" without an utterly fantastic awakening on the part of the general population only invites new Maos and Stalins to achieve their wet dreams of absolute murderous slavery.

Yes.
So why we're trying to decentralize and make alternatives and solutions that are flexible, resilient, robust, secure, sustainable, and better than what the consumer culture's corporatocracy offer. This includes meaningful work, prepping, counter-media, and resistance that provides more purpose, fulfillment, and ultimately joy in life than their empty ephemeral debt-slavery existence. Even the flawed and imperfect old institutions like family, community, religion, etc. are better than hoarding for the sake of collecting all the action figures prescribed to your mental illness from the corporate culture oppressing you.
