Reddit is bought and paid for. Even the dogs subreddit is filled with Purina shills.

Oh yes, I noticed that too, especially in gaming subs. I could swear that some of the the posts on such subs were made by developer themselves. It's fucking cringe.

I messaged the mod of the subreddit and asked politely why the comment had been deleted. No response - and then the whole post was nuked - post was mildly disparaging of PCG - and then I was banned. I'm completely confused as to why this happened. Does PC Gamer have some sort of deal with Reddit? How was this threatening, harassing, or bullying?

Seems suspicious. I was banned from r/eatcheapandhealthy for criticizing the Instapot.

You offended their religion.

I was a big contributor and my negative views of the instapot were not unpopular. Most people don't need a crock pot at all. Anyone can simmer shit in a covered pot on low. If you do want a Crock-Pot anyways, the OG brand name ones cost $10 for a 2-quart -- all us lonely peeps really need, not 7 functions you're never going to use.

You shall be burned at the stake. I don't think I've ever used the slow cook setting, I think most people use it as an electric pressure cooker. If you make stock on a regular basis, it's 100% worth it IMO. But obviously, an extremely stupid thing to ban someone over.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Um, am I crazy or didn't they used to sell higher than 15psi pressure cookers? That was my main issue with electric pressure cookers, they can only handle relatively low pressure.

[–]CanisRex[S] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

right? fucking...what? PCG IS garbage - but apparently reddit has some sort of ad deal with them or something.

Just like Bethesda was astroturfing the fuck out Starcitizen - there is no way all those starfield posts were natural.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Good fucking riddance, my friend. Reddit is fucking retarded, I don't understand why people are even still use it.

Soon there will nothing but troons speaking to each other because all other users will be just be banned.

[–]CanisRex[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah i can't even begin to understand the backing of the gender cult by reddit admins, unless they're all trannies themselves? - and I totally agree with you about its uselessness - but I have a hundred other comments that they could've banned me for, but they chose one that didn't break any ToS - so its more about the principle of the thing at this point. I must know the explanation!

[–]oligarchracy 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

Reddit's censorship and deplatforming craze isnt just limited to political and racial matters, it's become standard for anything that might upset those with power or influence, be they random mods, admin, or corporations that use the site to astroturf favorable opinion/advertising. Reddit was bought by a Jewish media oligarch family so in addition to pushing their disgusting political agenda, there is also likely a lot of corrupt influence peddling and unofficially sanctioned astroturfing going on.

[–]AkbarZip 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Jewish

Why is that detail important? Seriously?

[–]oligarchracy 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

What is it exactly that seems to puzzle you about that information? Why would it not be relevant or important given the context?

Reddit didnt become the anti white censorship happy propaganda outlet it is today until after they bought it and it underwent the same fate as so many other media outlets that were either bought outright or came under the control of Jews. At the same time they began censoring and banning anything that made any attempt to defend or advocate for whites, while boosting the most virulent hate filled anti white propaganda on earth, they also began banning anything anti Israel or critical of Jews. I could name countless other examples where you see the same thing. Jewish groups like the ADL have been leading the deplatforming and censorship craze we've seen across the internet the last few years.

Is this coincidence? Why is this happening, what is the alternative explanation? I'm open to debate on the subject. What explains the change reddit underwent after the Newhouse family gained control?

[–]AkbarZip 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The simple answer? Some individual Jews and Jewish families are powerful and do things like this, as do non-Jews and non-Jewish families, others do not. I'm Jewish and I wish I was that powerful and influential.

[–]oligarchracy 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ok, fair enough. I cant get into their heads and know what their individual motivations are, but unfortunately we now live in a society where collective guilt is a thing, as in white people are guilty because some white people did shitty things 100 years ago. It may not be right, but oligarchs like the Newhouse family are the ones pushing this collective guilt shit, so what goes around comes around.

But yes, I agree with you, not all Jews, or even most Jews are responsible for or have any influence over what some of them do, so I should be more specific.

the astroturfing isn't even subtle anymore in my hobby subs

[–]TotoroDeams 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

Most of those bans are automated, so you were brigaded and it triggered auto ban.

My current reddit account was permabanned like a few days after making it, I sent the admins a message stating it was not hate or targeted and they unbanned me.

[–]CanisRex[S] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I've sent appeals - not that I care too much about commenting - its more the principle of the thing. Most of my comments are from TiA, genusa, SJiA, conservative etc - so I wonder if they just banned me for my opinions....they definitely chose a weird post to use, though.

I've heard that some Reddit subs have bots that randomly trawl through the history of posters, and if they find comments in any "wrongthink" subs, regardless of what the comment actually is, the bot hits the ban switch on that poster.

No idea of it's true or not, but since the alternative is some utter no-lifer staring obsessively at a screen for hours every day while meticulously scrolling through the post histories of hundreds (or more) random users, who knows.

It's true, and it's completely against Reddit ToS, unless you're doing it against the wrong think targets as you say.

There are a few, SRS, TwoX, OffmyChest to say the least.

I got permabanned for saying (in response to someone whinging about trans bullshit) that the opinions they think are a hateful bigot minority are more mainstream than they think if they got off the internet for ten minutes. Any new acct instant banned. Must have logged my phone metadata.

they use a very intrusive fingerprinting - un/reinstall your browser, or just use Brave or TOR. That worked for me.
