    I agree that the rumours are started by clever folks.

    The people who want to believe the rumours are however complete idiots. In fact, they give proper idiots a bad name.

    Yes, a great plan to inspire a subset of GOP voters, who will influence other GOP voters, even if the subset is not entirely believed by most GOP voters. Otherwise normal GOP voters have repeated some of the QAnon conspiracies to me, though they'd not believe all QAnon theories.

    The only real part of QAnon is that there's systemic government pedophiles and assassination of whistleblowers. But this has been known for decades. QAnon was inserted by the government so that they could use logical fallacies to discredit systemic pedophilia.

    QAnon groups developed with the usual trashy GOP slander against Dems - which has happened for decades. A recent version of one of these groups were tea baggers. Often, the rumers started with a claim that someone in the CIA or formerly in the CIA had known of a naughty Democrat or a govenment plot.
