Socks why are you so obsessed about having the “right” to kill something that is arguably a human life and is at a bare minimum a living organism?

You're obviously oversimplifying the purpose of a legal option for an abortion. Making it illegal in 22 states after the ruling will return much of the US to pre-RvW conditions for women in those states, which were brutal, especially for low and middle class women who could not afford a private doctor. The majority in the US want to keep RvW. The real question is: why undemocratically overturn it?

You’re obviously overcomplicating the need for a legal option for abortion and still ignoring the actual question, which is: why should abortion be a right? A woman’s wealth or minority status has literally nothing to do with the morality or necessity of aborting a pregnancy unless you’re into eugenics. And the majority of those who support abortion seem to take it a whole lot further than wanting a legal option, completely trivializing it and treating it like an alternative to contraception.

why should abortion be a right?

There are many answers to that question, a couple of which I note in my response above. It's always been available to wealthy women (regardless of legality). States that have criminalized abortion restricted it for those women who could not afford it. As a result, those women requiring abortions saught affordable, dangerous methods, sometimes causing permanent damage or dying from a hemorrhage. It is as much their right as it is a wealthy person's right to get an abortion - in the 1st trimester, IMO, and in agreement with others - because the fetus at week 11 or 12 is not conscious, it's only 5.5 cm, weighs only 18 g, if that, and does not have significant brain development. No mother really wants to do this. It's traumatic and it can reduce her chances of having a baby in the future. But sometimes it is a very important option, in cases of rape, underage girls, women with medical problems, women with serious drug problems, significant DNA problems in the fetus, extreme economic hardship, and much much more. Children moved around to homes for abandoned children also have great difficulty. Moreover, other countries have similar options for 1st term abortions. There is no reason for the US to be any different. In short: women will suffer terribly in states that criminalize abortion. I'm just thinking out loud here. There are excellent historical texts and documentaries addressing the period before RvW. EDIT: Additional info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzi5TneWDoc

Yep, safe legal and rare. Democrats took abortion and turned it into something disturbing and disgusting.

What you did, is took something that most people supported, and turned it into something that everyone wants to end, now. We do not view abortion as contraception, and no one should.

You guys did it with fags too. First it was let us get married, fine. Now it’s perverts helicoptering their dicks in my daughter face, and perverts thinking it’s okay to teach kids what sexual position they like most.

How a party could go so far off the reservation in such little time is amazing.

Poor people can't afford half of the decadent bullshit rich people do to themselves and with each other.
