It's okay, /u/socks says vaccines are safe and great.

Why pick on me? I didn't say they're "great"; I wrote that they are safe and have helped reduce the spread of COVID19, thereby ending the lockdowns, so that the 99% can get back to work. Are they "great"? No. Moreover, we'll see other SARS viruses, as we've seen in the past. It's important that they aren't allowed to spread and mutate, which is why the vaccines are so important, as they latch onto infected cells and thereby help create antibodies without the patient becoming seriously ill in the process. Many of those who've had COVID are still suffering, whereas others are relatively OK. Avoiding serious illness is important for one's health. The vaccines - as we know now - are not dangerous, though one of the vaccines is now studied for potential blood clot problems in a handful of people. (I also appreciate that writing any of this on Saidit will only result in attacks against me, with all kinds of insults and unusual arguments. But someone should offer additional information here, just as they should also post additional information [with reasonable evidence] on /r/conspiracy without being banned - and I do see a lot of anti-vax posts there - and at the various ban evasion subs on Reddit, especially those supporting Trump.)

they are safe

safe [sāf] ADJECTIVE

protected from or not exposed to danger or risk

Better wording would be "relatively safe".
