They were not just expressing free speech but hate. And the reason they got down is because a poster there was planning on mass shooting. That is how toxic that spot is.

Hate is speech though, as bad as it is. And it's way too subjective to apply fairly.

I disagree. And I find those who don't think it is a big deal tend to be people who are rarely the target of hate speech.

Actually being male garners a shit ton of sexism. If you don't act or think an exact certain way no one will take you seriously. And you're inherently viewed as aggressive and uncaring.
