Transgender bothers me most because at its heart, it is a direct rejection of the universe in which we live. If we cannot accept this amazing beauty with which we have been blessed by being born into this reality, we have nothing. People who want to destroy a functional form in order to replace it with a simulacrum are fundamentally nihilists who can come up with nothing better than to hate that which is. I have said on here more than once, I am not as shocked by the people who want to eliminate themselves as I am by the entire industries of people who make it their job to enable other people to destroy themselves in the name of delusion. This trend is the ultimate condemnation of our society. If this many people would rather destroy themselves than live in the world as it is, our society as it is must be more fucked up than any society has ever been before.

Some times it covers a very real problem as well.

Loads of homosexual transsexuals, male and female, have been abused as children or as young adults. I had one trans woman tell me he'd been raped twice by gay men when he was a young man on the scene but hadn't had any problems with the "straight" men they'd seen since they'd transitioned. So even though they didn't have gender dysphoria any more they would never detransition for safety reasons. A famous trans woman Paris Lees just wrote a fictionalised account of their life where they were groomed by adult gay men as a teen to be a rent boy. The problem is hiding in plain site.

A hell of a lot of female trans have histories of abuse as well. It's common for a child to think they are at fault for their abuse so they might blame their sex and think "if I'd been born a boy/girl I wouldn't have been targeted." That then turns into gender dysphoria as they get older.

I think what you write explains probably the huge majority of the cases. And again, I sympathize with them. I truly do. As I said, I feel for the people who become so desperate after a life of abuse that they seek to end that life from a variety of forms: transitioning, drug abuse/overdose, suicide, etc. There's only so much the human spirit can take. Once again, what shocks me and infuriates me is the number of people willing to do this to others without ever taking the time to find out, "why?" Those are the people my anger is directed at.

first trans I ever met was a large 40 year old man who "transitioned" to a "girl" and had a "little" side which needed a "mommy" to function. it was a huge escape mechanism and the person even admitted they are mentally unstable outside this charade.

This is basically standard in declining cultures. Read some history. Declining cultures are full of eunuchs and other sexual freaks.

Yeah. This has occurred to me as well. But the scale of it this time is beyond anything I can think of, even in historical examples.

Sexual Personae by Paglia is a treasure trove of examples of these types of patterns of sexual expression in late stage, decaying civilizations. It's well worth reading. I think the only thing unprecedented about our current situation is that we have mass communication which amplifies it.
