That would sound grim indeed, except the wonders of recreational drugs can enhance your emotions, meaning, and purpose, along with a myriad of pros and cons.

Yeah, for a tiny bit until my mind adjusts to them and it makes me even worse off and I need them just to feel like I do now. And I'd get addicted and it'd take up all my money and then I'd be burned to death in an oven when I can't pay anymore, or end up in prison for the rest of my life.

I'm doomed no matter what I do. I don't care about impregnating and competing for women and laboring all my life for society, yet it's all I exist for. Until the day I die I can never be happy again, nor can half the world unless they fake it or exaggerate the extremely dull joy they can get. But somehow the rest of them like it because gets them sex and spreading their genes and dominance and that's somehow worth it. Of course if they were women they'd just get 10x better versions of most of that handed to them anyway.

Yep. Existential angst sucks.

I can't afford drugs now, but I make sure to have vitamin D, ginseng, and occasional caffeine pills and enough sleep for my /s/WellBeing and /s/Fulfillment (2 subs I recently created - want to co-mod them?). These are different than fleeting happiness.

You could grow bud or shrooms, neither costs a lot to get into.

Shrooms would be good. Food would be better. My landlord's a dick.

I'd love to be able to grow food in any meaningful way. I'm trying potatoes, see how that works, but my patio just doesn't get enough sunlight to grow anything but peppers and herbs so far.

I've got a bunch of potatoes growing, maintenance free. I should post some photos. Don't even know when I should dig them up.
