Btw that's the type of person who says that they'll "punch nazis"

Yeah. It's always been hilarious to have a snowflake reel off a list of disabilities and anxiety issues, real or adopted for social cachet, then threaten to kill me. For bonus comedy they tend towards outlandish descriptions of what they'll do, as if their experience of fighting comes entirely from Hollywood and their impotent rage fantasies.

Well, maybe so but maybe not. I wasn't far off from the person described in this post at one point in the not so distant past. I suspect having spent my entire childhood reading books and playing video games is the reason I was pretty useless in the most basic of social situations.

Thankfully however the drive to get with women is extremely powerful and I certainly wasn't asking a girl on a date if I couldn't order a sandwich. So I started with the sandwiches, slowly, and moved up the chain. Now I'm married and posting on Saidit, truly the peak of human accomplishment.

I still get that feeling of wild anxiety sometimes, particularly when I'm about to cold call someone for work, but I ignore it these days.

You can literally print an order off the subway website to take into the store if you have trouble communicating.

That person wasn't really helpful at all.

In today's video from Graham Linehan, he argues that the word "trans" should be redefined to mean "someone who spends too much time on the internet".

All of the trans complaints align perfectly. Depression, social anxiety, warped perspectives on sexuality from porn, binary thinking etc.

The person who can't function enough to order a sandwich... what are the chances they spend a lot of time online?

I can see how Subway might be stressful when you have to mumble your orders through a mask to a teen behind plexiglass who can't hear you over the noise of the Walmart the Subway's probably inside and may or may not know english on top of that.

You know what? Step 1 is ordering online from Jimmy John's instead. Step 2: enjoy.

Subway is amateur grade. Every time I visit McDonalds I roll the dice on whether the milkshake machine will be in service.

It's a Subway ad, silly.

Reddit is a haven for people with anxiety. For example, I have never met an agoraphobic in person before, but they're all over reddit. Not sure it's uncommon or you just don't normally see them besides on a platform where they can communicate from their homes.

Probably. I have a hard time believing anyone wants to talk about their worst anxieties in a public post. I mean, if you do, the anxiety can't be that bad. But speaking privately with people, reddit does seem to be a hotbed for some rather serious psychological problems.

There's a lot of plain old munchausens on reddit.

Also Americans have defined so many conditions so widely pretty much anyone could have them.

So if you go onto an American based platform from another culture you immediately catch around 50 disorders.

What a waste of good snark material.
