Yeah, I've always had little chicken pox scars on my cheeks, and foundation just made it look shittier so I gave up outside of the extremely rare occasion. Light eye makeup and lip stains or balms (the texture is neat and helps create a distraction from stress instead of just biting at them; looks pretty) are my favorites though. Skin problems usually get worse with foundation anyway, it creates a vicious cycle of clogged pores and bacterial chaos. Ordinary has ultra cheap products (like $5 up) that can help.

Dang. I've just got a lot of acne scars that take a long time to go away... They're easy to cover up most the time, but sometimes there's just no way to do it.

I don't like using too much eye make-up either, but I'll put on some eyeliner and mascara. I've never used lip-stains, so I wouldn't know. I've been using purple lip-gloss, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. The color is subtle, though, which is nice; it seems like lip-stick would have too much.

Yeah, that's why I don't wear it that much, and try to wash it off as soon as possible.

Like what?

For acne scarring, look into microneedling. It's something that you have to be really careful with because if you're too rough you can permanently damage your skin. I have different skin needs and mostly just base my shit around keeping it hydrated and using products that are gentle, but I've read some good reviews on lactic acid-based serums for resurfacing that they have. You have to be careful with those too though, especially if you have sensitive skin. It might take research, but Ulta has them.

Actual lip stains just give them pigment without any of the surface texture. I just use the little lip marker thing and let it dry, then wipe it off with wet toilet paper to leave the stain and apply balm over it. If lip gloss works without making you nuts, consider it a victory. I can't deal with the texture of lip gloss because it's sticky or just goopy and I can't move without my hair getting stuck in it.

Yeah. I don't mind it, though.

OMG I feel you. It does that with chap-stick too.
