society expects people to behave in certain ways according to whether they have a penis or a vagina, even if the behaviors are entirely unrelated, but some people behave differently than the expectation.

I behave differently than the expectation. I actually recently got kicked off my discord Cripplingalcoholism server for having a relationship that isn't gender normative. Not even like I'm drastically bending social norms, my wife just makes more money than I do. That still invokes feelings of disgust. Also goes back to the sex thing. Alpha males who are old (bad providers) would be challenged.

Anyways, my point is that it doesn't mean I see myself as a woman just because I'm an atypical man.

I ain't sure how certain behaviors became associated with genitals, such as wearing make-up and shaving your legs, but others make more sense: women have kids, so naturally they take care of them, and that leaves men with the responsibility to work.

I really love the word ain't. Growing up my teachers liked to say "ain't ain't a word," but it's a nice southern touch if you ask me.

Gillette made shaving your legs a thing to sell razor blades. Seriously.

Make up is just about attracting a mate, lots of animals do it too.

Yeah, it's kind of similar to that. People tend to expect humans with penises to make more money than humans with vaginas.

Ain't you from Texas?

That's Yankee imperialism for ya. Empires always impose their language upon their colonies in order to strip the natives of their identity — that's what the federal school system was designed to do. The only way to save the South is to restore our tenth amendment right to educate our kids.

but it's a nice southern touch if you ask me.

It's not simply a "southern touch", it's a protest against imperialism! Honestly, if I had to choose one word to symbolize Dixie's struggle for sovereignty, it'd be "ain't".

Yep. Hard to argue that's a bad thing, though. I personally shave everywhere just because it makes me feel cleaner, lol.

I don't think so. Married women wear make-up, asexual women wear make-up, etc. It's just about looking presentable. And even then, it doesn't explain why right-wingers think it's only for humans with vaginas.

I have never understood the belief that make-up makes one look presentable. I've rarely ever liked it on anyone.

Rouge and lipstick simulate the increased blood flow that women experience when sexually aroused. It attracts more male attention than a woman would get otherwise.

Why stop at simulating arousal when we can simulate cyanosis and necrosis with lipstick too?

Red is favored for a reason. You can make an absurd absolute argument if you want but it doesn't change anything.

I wasn't expecting a damn near on the spectrum-tier reply. I'm not arguing with you, Chip. I'm just trying to make a joke.

It was less a joke and more an absurd absolute cause you got bitter that I had raised a valid point about women's faces flushing during sexual arousal and you trying to shit in the punchbowl by using disease metaphors.

I didn't feel bitter at all replying to you. I generally don't feel bitter when I interact with your posts. I bring up points to potentially engage you/others more, and sometimes it's to see what personal viewpoints are. Sometimes I will go into a reply a little asshurt, but it's less aimed towards you than it is the contents of the title post.

The lipstick comment was genuinely a joke based off the fact that it's available and even pretty popular to wear blue and black lipstick, and I threw those disease metaphors in because I thought it was funny/facetious. Shit, I thought that most of our interactions just ended with banter when you flung the copypasta back at me. Were you thinking that I was being hostile this whole time, and I'm shit st reading signals?

I don't even know who you are.

And this is acceptable because...
