Im a hard working center conservative (fiscally) who has none, never wanted any nor thinks people should get tax credits for having kids. Technically people with kids should be taxed more while I get to keep my money since Ill never need to use schools, programs, or services children need. Im sick of parents using these tax loopholes. Parents need to pay their fair share!

Child tax credits enable people to take care of their kids — and will help to reverse our declining birth rate. The obvious problem is exploitation, because a lot of parents have, like, eight kids just because it helps them make more money (but this is usually for welfare, not tax credits).

Some people, quite a few in my area, have kids or adopt them just so they can get more money on the first, so they can go down-town and spend it on meth. But the obvious solution is to take their kids away, sterilize them, and ban them from adoption.

And this probably wouldn't be a problem is we didn't tax low-income households at all, and just used a UBI instead of welfare.

I'm left-wing economically and right-wing socially, which is why we disagree. I'm more of a Progressive-Conservative than a "true" Conservative.

If you decide to have a kid then you should assume the responsibility it needs. I should not be forced to pay more than someone with kids because they decided they wanted them. No on needs children, you want them. People keep complaining about global warming. Wanna stop that, have less people.
