I don't know. You described yourself having a cold-sweat panic from a few moments of exposure to a media outlet which wasn't feeding your prior beliefs back to you. Just giving advice.

The pedo was alt right back at you. (is that code for something or something?)

You're thinking of someone else, I can't imagine panicking from political bullshit. I'm not left or right, I don't like either of them. Politics is like professional football. You can watch, but you don't get to play.

It's not code, there was just a dude talking about having sex with children that got banned. He wasn't a liberal. And my point, besides seeming news worthy locally to saiditers, was that no one side has the monopoly on degeneracy.

I did get my threads crossed. My apologies.

To answer your question, are bubbles bad? I don't know. I know the left has determined that no dissidence is permissible in any forum whatsoever. This has been going on for as long as I've been following politics and here we are. If bubbles are bad, they're not bad for the left. Establishing a firm boundary for allowable sentiment and constant policing of inhabitants of the bubble for goodthink seems to have been an efficient route to power for the left. The left don't seem to mind inhabiting an "echo chamber". Seemingly as a consequence, they're capable of unified progression from discussion to collective action on behalf of shared goals.

So maybe bubbles aren't bad. Maybe the idea that "echo chambers are bad" is one of these entryist control narratives non-leftists have been inculcated with so they remain disorganized and without power.

But my question was why a progressive would leave the comfy hum of their hive at reddit to post here. What is their reason?

As far as the other thing goes, the incoming Secretary of Health is a visibly mentally ill man who publicly cross-dresses. I'm not going to weigh that against an anonymous message board character in pursuit of a "bothsides" cope.

On bubbles:

This is entirely the difference between the left and right. The left values cohesion of the masses, not progress or merit. The right values merit, not cohesion. Thus, the right willing engages in the battle of ideas to let the best rise, while the left censors anything that conflicts with their ideal vision.

Debate sites always start out dominated by the right, and usually end when enough leftists stop allowing debate in one form or another.
