I don't know. You described yourself having a cold-sweat panic from a few moments of exposure to a media outlet which wasn't feeding your prior beliefs back to you. Just giving advice.

The pedo was alt right back at you. (is that code for something or something?)

You're thinking of someone else, I can't imagine panicking from political bullshit. I'm not left or right, I don't like either of them. Politics is like professional football. You can watch, but you don't get to play.

The pedo was alt right back at you. (is that code for something or something?

It's not code, there was just a dude talking about having sex with children that got banned. He wasn't a liberal. And my point, besides seeming news worthy locally to saiditers, was that no one side has the monopoly on degeneracy.

I did get my threads crossed. My apologies.

To answer your question, are bubbles bad? I don't know. I know the left has determined that no dissidence is permissible in any forum whatsoever. This has been going on for as long as I've been following politics and here we are. If bubbles are bad, they're not bad for the left. Establishing a firm boundary for allowable sentiment and constant policing of inhabitants of the bubble for goodthink seems to have been an efficient route to power for the left. The left don't seem to mind inhabiting an "echo chamber". Seemingly as a consequence, they're capable of unified progression from discussion to collective action on behalf of shared goals.

So maybe bubbles aren't bad. Maybe the idea that "echo chambers are bad" is one of these entryist control narratives non-leftists have been inculcated with so they remain disorganized and without power.

But my question was why a progressive would leave the comfy hum of their hive at reddit to post here. What is their reason?

As far as the other thing goes, the incoming Secretary of Health is a visibly mentally ill man who publicly cross-dresses. I'm not going to weigh that against an anonymous message board character in pursuit of a "bothsides" cope.

Reddit is NOT progressive.

Reddit is SJW/BLM corporate Dems (GOP in Dems clothing). VERY different.

As different as GOP and AltRight. Or GOP and AnCap.

SJW/BLM corporate Dems

I've never heard anyone try to separate this from the term progressive.

Maybe liberal. I'll still occasionally point out that the left are no longer the liberal side in the US. But I've never heard someone try to distinguish progressive from this, particularly the SJW and BLM parts.

Now you have. It's NOT uncommon. If you knew anything about the left you'd know there's a HUGE rift in it too.

Just as the alt-right has been unfairly demonized and many of their stances have been twisted and spun into nonsense (ie. all Nazis, all racists, all supremacists, all sexists, etc) in an organize media psyop, so too the progressive left has been much maligned by being associated with the SJW/BLM corporate Dem bullshit. All the fake progressives in the Dems are posers who might say SOME of the things actual progressives believe in, but they never act.

Real progressives:

  • end corruption
  • end wars
  • universal healthcare
  • fix corporate scams
  • fix prisons
  • fair wages
  • good education
  • environment
  • green alternatives
  • end consumerism
  • etc

Many of these overlap with the alt-right, an-cap, and voluntarists. None of them are in the Overton window.

BLM, SJW, trans agenda, and the climate change scam are fake distraction issues. Sure some progressives may buy into these, maybe even all these distractions, but MANY do not. Those who call them out won't ever have MSM voices.

Just as they made "conspiracy theorist" and "truther" into pejorative terms, they are twisting "progressive" so much now that many who say they haven't changed but the definition has, are at a loss for a clear label for what they stand for. Even just this past week Kim Iversen went on yet another big rant about it. I don't recall if it was one I posted or if I was too busy and just listened.

Then as now, no group of people is immune from having many ruling class tricks they regret. More often than not there's only the lesser of evils and/or no opting out. I don't want to be a subject of the Queen, nor under mafia government rule, nor pay taxes, nor have a bank account that steals $11 a month I can't afford...

Not just a phone on a line, but more and more you need a smart phone to verify your existence. I was an early adopter 2003-2010 and cut free. I've managed thus far, but may have to get one to live in the new normal.

I'm sure there were some progressives that overlapped with conspirophiles, but I wouldn't conflate them. Heck, Jimmy Dore and Kim Iversen can't even fully embrace the idea that it's all rigged (an obvious conspiracy).

I don't think the old way was to be racist, so much as less globalist and more nationalist. Further, the old progressives knew to be anti-war and anti-oppression - and stopping those problems would stop forcing people from their homes and lands to seeking better lives.

I beleive /u/diogenesjunior was banned by M7. I thought he was one of the good ones, like you, among my /s/friends. M7 has had several meltdowns previously, and from what I see here it's on par. I'm preparing something that might inspire folks like you to ask questions so that we can ask for M7's justification about it. DioJr hasn't been fully clear about his role, but if innocent, IMO there would be more than enough reason at least have a serious discussion or few about it. A few others are aware, but I haven't started wrangling up a protest movement yet. I need to be more sure long before it comes to that.
