many seem to think that by moving to parler or saidit or gab that we are solving the problem, but instead we are actually making the problem worse. we are isolating ourselves and cutting ourselves out of the mainstream conversation. it is like if burglars enter your home, and you solve the problem by hiding in the basement while the burglars are upstairs living in your home.

they are now getting us fired from jobs, causing us to not get hired in the first place, causing companies to refuse to provide service to us, getting us evicted from any and all situations in life.

the new nazis are here. they are black. they are muslim. they are silencing us.

it is so "in your face" and obvious that people dont see it happening..

things are way beyond the point of no return.

Agreed. I'm here and not gab because gab, like TD.win, will just be pure conservative circle-jerk.

I also want a community with potential for apolitical content.

have you every used an app called "azar"? it is on the android playstore. it is really pretty cool.. you video chat with random people from around the world.. one after another.. if i get tired of chatting someone, i just swipe the screen and i get to chat another random person.. i made a friend from taiwan on it, and he is the nicest chinese man.. so kind..

i think that it would be nice if something like azar were setup inside of a saidit type of forum where you could have a group conversation where people took turns speaking.

as things are now, i have no fkng clue who the hell i am talking with on this forum.. and also as things are now, we have something of an information overload.. ten gozillion videos and posts that are posted by damm who know who they are or what their agenda is..

it would be a bit like a twelve step meeting, where people take turns talking..

from the perspective of the management of saidit, the bandwidth would be a bit pricey.. but i dont think it would be that terribly difficult to write the code, it would require some html5..

i think that there are plenty of coding examples of group video chats available using html5.

I also want a community with potential for apolitical content.

then you need to make another source large enough to bring others in. Youll never get that on any of the current left wing websites.

we are isolating ourselves and cutting ourselves out of the mainstream conversation

It's why I suspect so many conservatives, and Trump himself, think the election was fraudulent. In their isolated spaces Trump was adored. It was inconceivable he could lose if you ignored the mainstream conversation.

True. The left is almost as egregious in pursuing their safe space.

Someone just said it earlier today, and I forget who, but he said we need to stop idolizing politicians, right or left. Especially with Trump gone, I think things may normalize. Trump was interesting, people watched him for the drama. We're back to boring old politics now. Lot of people going to stop paying attention.

I get where you're coming from with that, but just being honest, the right and particularly Trump supporters were all suckers. Trump took such a huge dump on all his followers on the way out, condemning them and not even considering pardons for people who did what he asked. I don't know how you don't all feel totally betrayed.

And yeah, 99% of the shit they fed you was fake and for their own purposes. Suckers.

    [–]Node 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

Wait, "you"? I stopped supporting Trump after the combination of him rubbing Ivanka to orgasm - on stage - election night in 2016, then the next day proclaiming: "Hillary is a good person, and my good friend. The Clintons are good people..." Then something about no one being arrested or jailed. Paraphrasing, because I haven't watched that in years. So he cheated me the day after winning. "You'd be in jail" was how he got my vote.

To be fair, I don't know if Ivanka actually had an orgasm. His rubbing and her body posture, along with the expression on her face just made it look like she did. Was a real wtf moment, but everyone pretends it didn't happen.

Then that Q account came along, and what did they do? All those retarded "proofs" eventually did tie the psyop directly to Trump... Okay, so that's bullshit too.

My half baked theory is that they selected and installed him to be the chaos president. He succeeded in wrecking America, and totally corrupting the conservative side of the cabal op known as the republican party. They got tricked into abandoning conservative morals, and becoming retarded Trumpsters. His parting shot at them, aside from the spit in their faces pardons, was to go along with the most blatant election fraud ever - making his followers look even more stupid.

It was either right before or right after his speech. Doubt youtube still has it, but that moment is my most memorable part of that whole evening. The long extended hug, with 'virtual' side boob, and her expression. Maybe it's just me, but tipping her head back like that and the expression on her face...

Anyway, the 'hillary is my good friend' part pretty much repudiated his whole campaign.

when i was praying with muslims, i learned many things about their ways of doing things. #1, they see themselves as being much superior to all nonmuslims. #2, see #1

when muslims control an area, the following options will be given to nonmuslims:

    1) convert willingly and go to prayers.

    2) pay a tax and shut up.

    3) be executed.

i was told directly by men with tablighi jamaat that when islam controls an area that no muslim will ever be charged or convicted for killing a nonmuslim.

an example of how muslims will treat others can be seen in the maldives. i have been told by multiple sailors(boating) that if you should sail to the maldives and you are found to have a tattoo of a christian cross that if you are lucky they will only carve it off with a knife.

sharia is coming soon to the united states.. it is my opinion that the reason for the push to defund and destabilize our police forces is so that islam can rollout sharia law.

    [–]EvilNick 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

i dont think sharia will come to the US. I wont doubt there might be areas of the US that begin to start dictating their own laws like native american land but across the entire US never. What I will say is shit will get bloody because mooslims just love to blow shit that aint theirs up.

i always had difficulty keeping track of the various prayer times. Many muslims use an android app that automatically plays the call to prayer, sortof like a muslim alarm clock that goes off several times per day.. fyi, the one prayer that always happens at the same time is maghrib.. maghrib happens immediately after sunset.

it is my intent to return to prayer soon, inshallah.

it is solving the problem. you get to have your outlet and you remove market share from these giant monopolies. these places are just websites, thats it. We need to get it out of our heads these brand names are services or necessities. when you go to the store and look for band aids are you actually buying band aid brand? Cause thats all it is a brand, a nice comforting name. OR do you buy the generic store brand like everyone else? Take away their large share, you take their power and take away their authority to get people fired.

I think it's interesting to see how power-tripping mods are ruining Reddit.

For instance, I generally post in "local" subs, because they tend to be more balanced than the big subs like "news", "worldnews", "politics", etc.

I've learned to avoid saying anything Conservative, because that's the fastest way to get banned on Reddit. There's an obvious bias against conservative Redditors.

The subreddit for where I actually live is a complete bore. 90% of the posts are pictures of sunsets, and the other 10% of the posts are anti-Trump, and aren't even on-topic.

The other day, I called someone out on my local sub, because they were spamming dozens of local subs with the same anti-Trump meme. It had literally nothing to do with the city that I live in, they were just posting it on every local sub they could find.

I got banned for calling them out.

This seemed remarkably petty; the poster was clearly breaking Reddit rules, and I got banned for saying that?

So I went down the rabbit hole of seeing who the mods were, only to discover that it was one dude, with two sock puppet accounts, along with six other mods who haven't been active in years.

After realizing this, I suddenly realized why the sub was such a bore: there was one person on a power trip, banning everyone who wasn't interested in:

            • pictures of sunsets

            • and anti-Trump posts

One person had turned a sub for a city of a million people into an echo chamber.

This type of behavior is bad for Reddit itself, because Reddit dies when the place turns into one big echo chamber. It's boring.

It hasn't been 10 years of it. I used reddit for 12, my original and main account would be 13 years old now if they didn't perma ban it last May. It's been more like 7 years tops. Circa 2013 this sort of shit started happening in a select few subs and it grew from there.

When you play another man's game, you play by his rules, and those rules will always favor the one who made them. Don't like his rules? Stop playing with him. Either send Stevie 'Spaz' Huffman an FU, or use Reddit as a 'lurker' only (i.e. do not participate or post). Let Little Stevie have his echo chamber for his leftist-libtard clique, and move on to saidit, mewe, ruqqus, poal, or 8kun. The second time a reddit mod removed my post and put me in adult time-out, I sent the creature a FU, and terminated the account before it could. Been two or three years now, and I don't miss Reddit at all.

I did get my threads crossed. My apologies.

To answer your question, are bubbles bad? I don't know. I know the left has determined that no dissidence is permissible in any forum whatsoever. This has been going on for as long as I've been following politics and here we are. If bubbles are bad, they're not bad for the left. Establishing a firm boundary for allowable sentiment and constant policing of inhabitants of the bubble for goodthink seems to have been an efficient route to power for the left. The left don't seem to mind inhabiting an "echo chamber". Seemingly as a consequence, they're capable of unified progression from discussion to collective action on behalf of shared goals.

So maybe bubbles aren't bad. Maybe the idea that "echo chambers are bad" is one of these entryist control narratives non-leftists have been inculcated with so they remain disorganized and without power.

But my question was why a progressive would leave the comfy hum of their hive at reddit to post here. What is their reason?

As far as the other thing goes, the incoming Secretary of Health is a visibly mentally ill man who publicly cross-dresses. I'm not going to weigh that against an anonymous message board character in pursuit of a "bothsides" cope.

                    Reddit is NOT progressive.

Reddit is SJW/BLM corporate Dems (GOP in Dems clothing). VERY different.

As different as GOP and AltRight. Or GOP and AnCap.

                    SJW/BLM corporate Dems

I've never heard anyone try to separate this from the term progressive.

Maybe liberal. I'll still occasionally point out that the left are no longer the liberal side in the US. But I've never heard someone try to distinguish progressive from this, particularly the SJW and BLM parts.

Now you have. It's NOT uncommon. If you knew anything about the left you'd know there's a HUGE rift in it too.

Just as the alt-right has been unfairly demonized and many of their stances have been twisted and spun into nonsense (ie. all Nazis, all racists, all supremacists, all sexists, etc) in an organize media psyop, so too the progressive left has been much maligned by being associated with the SJW/BLM corporate Dem bullshit. All the fake progressives in the Dems are posers who might say SOME of the things actual progressives believe in, but they never act.

                    Real progressives:

                    • end corruption
                    • end wars
                    • universal healthcare
                    • fix corporate scams
                    • fix prisons
                    • fair wages
                    • good education
                    • environment
                    • green alternatives
                    • end consumerism
                    • etc

Many of these overlap with the alt-right, an-cap, and voluntarists. None of them are in the Overton window.

BLM, SJW, trans agenda, and the climate change scam are fake distraction issues. Sure some progressives may buy into these, maybe even all these distractions, but MANY do not. Those who call them out won't ever have MSM voices.

Just as they made "conspiracy theorist" and "truther" into pejorative terms, they are twisting "progressive" so much now that many who say they haven't changed but the definition has, are at a loss for a clear label for what they stand for. Even just this past week Kim Iversen went on yet another big rant about it. I don't recall if it was one I posted or if I was too busy and just listened.

Then as now, no group of people is immune from having many ruling class tricks they regret. More often than not there's only the lesser of evils and/or no opting out. I don't want to be a subject of the Queen, nor under mafia government rule, nor pay taxes, nor have a bank account that steals $11 a month I can't afford...

                      On bubbles:

This is entirely the difference between the left and right. The left values cohesion of the masses, not progress or merit. The right values merit, not cohesion. Thus, the right willing engages in the battle of ideas to let the best rise, while the left censors anything that conflicts with their ideal vision.

Debate sites always start out dominated by the right, and usually end when enough leftists stop allowing debate in one form or another.

The dude was incel. Like it or not, the out and open incels are usually on the extreme right. The left gets the closet incels, which are niceguys and male feminists.

When we were still on reddit, the trans subs had way more user crossover with the incel subs than the alt-right subs did.

I think some of the recent ones think they're monitoring or harming a thought-criminal website. Like the weird influx of incel pedos yesterday with less than a week old accounts that a lot of us couldn't tell whether or not they were trolls. Some of the progressives, I think, are just people who like to fight, so they're here. And I welcome that. Not because I feel like arguing constantly, but because the site does need some kind of balance between political sides so it doesn't just turn into a less meme-oriented TD.win.

I'm guessing you don't even know what a real Progressive is.

Fake Progressives with the Dems don't count.

Authentic Progressives have been censored too.

There's much to be admired in ideas from Progressives, AnSocs, AnCaps, and AltRight.

SJWs, Dems, and GOP have nothing to offer.

The only part of the left I've seen deplatformed are TERFs and if they learned nothing from the experience, they don't have anything to say worth hearing.

How about anti-war people? How about the environmentalists? They call them eco-terrorists now and get worse sentences than real terrorists and the CIA terrorists. Now the corporate Left™ is worried about Climate Change™, a fictional excuse to distract from real conservation and for their Carbon Tax™ scam. Black Lives Matter™ but health care doesn't. They knocked the progressives down first, and have since embedded a bunch of posers that talk but don't act.

Their actually is 'climate' change just not what they are telling us. Our PNW is a lot different then when I moved up here 20 years ago. The year 2000/2001 was a turning point that one weird dry winter and slowly went more weird with dry being the new default.

True. They also do geoengineering (chemtrails) to modify and manipulate the weather/climate. I could have worded it more accurately.

then when they get modded on a right sub "what I thought you guys were the beacons of free speech! YOU JUST DONT WANT TO HEAR THE TROOFS!"
