Site owners, admins, and support personnel clearly need to be meinkrafted, but I remember some subs like r/coffee, r/tea, r/gta(whatever) that used to be fairly useful. Haven't gone to reddit in years, but have occasionally seen useful search results pointing to a reddit thread.

However, even with the small areas of dissidents, reddit is overwhelmingly filled with the kind of people who are not only okay with censorship and propaganda, it's turned them into the equivalent of human propaganda bots. You see some of those people using that snarky leftist style here on saidit.
