I'm pleasantly surprised by what happened in the thread. All the top comments are NTA, and the OP got encouraged to take further action. I was expecting the edit to be her apologizing for not being PC. I've seen people get shamed so hard over there. I recall a post by a man going to a massage parlor and getting offered lewd services. He was appalled, refused, and posted about it on AITA. I forget what the consensus was, but he decided to file a complaint, and later came back blabbering about how he regrets his action, how he didn't realize the woman probably acts under coercion, and how he was unaware of his white male privilege. Apparently, when you're witnessing sexual slavery, it's more important to be politically correct than to inform the police.

I have at least five of those fake asian massage places in walking distance of me right now. Really they should just say "get a handjob from an illegal immigrant for $60" because if you want something other than your cock massaged you're out of luck.

The cops know, everybody knows.

That's true, and I'm not sure if the police would do anything about it, come to think of it, but I was appalled to hear him bring "white male privilege" into it in the aftermath. My point is that the responses in this thread aren't all that unreasonable in comparison. (In fact, I'm siding with the Redditors in this instance.)
