You missed a post with over 2.5K upvotes stating "just a reminder some lesbians have dicks!" just after the ban. It's a sub for "transbians" with some bi and pansexual women (and of course the "bisexual lesbians"...no it doesn't make sense, and no you're not allowed to question it) thrown in as their cheerleaders. This is incredible. I don't have a problem with monosexual people also attracted to trans people who transitioned to that gender (ex: people only attracted to biological and trans women) but there should be made a clear distinction between the two and you definitely shouldn't feel forced to have sex with anyone, be it a person or a group of people. Why ban r/truelesbians ? What's wrong with having a separate subreddit for women only attracted to other women that were born women?

They say they don’t want anyone to not have “preferences” but they DO try and cast being a lesbian as mean, no matter what they say. You would assume that if someone is trans they would not want to have lesbians who are not into them in their sub and speaking about it loudly, but when the lesbians leave to make an exclusive lesbian sub that no one is forced to look at or go to, that is also a huge problem. It’s so dumb.

The real lesbians aren't being treated well in a group which is supposedly for lesbians but has transwomen moderators. So the lesbians leave. Which makes the transwomen FURIOUS in the exact same way that an abuser becomes furious when his property leaves. It's the exact same dynamic. "How dare you leave me, now i will stalk you and do whatever I can to harm you".

I expect quite a lot of transwomen to come to saidit in order to harass lesbians, I expect that to not go how they want, and i expect them to have MAJOR meltdowns irl

Most people don't really call it bisexuality. If they'd have sex with a post-op trans person they'd still be called heterosexual and homosexual respectively by most people. For pre-op trans people it's more complicated but as long as they aren't willing to have sex with cis people of the same sex, again, no one uses bisexual to refer to them, at most "queer" or maybe "bicurious" or "straight/gay with a weird fetish".

Bisexual almost always refers to attraction to cis men and women (and maybe more), not one of the two and trans people. Let's keep it like that.

Yet it could have meant something hundreds of thousands of years ago and if we preserved definitions I may have understood. Yet we saw that there was no need to preserve definitions and now we use another set of letters to mean that same thing.

There's no need to preserve definitions just for the sake of pleasing a dictionary, it's important that they are clear, consistent and that the listener understands what we have to say. In that case, if you're attracted to cis women and trans/non-binary/androgynous/whatever people but not to cis men and you present yourself as bisexual everyone's gonna be confused. It's better to just explain what you are by that point since we don't have a specific word for that but when 99% of people hear bisexual they think "attraction to men and women".
