Unfortunately as this site grows it will become dependant on advertising for server upkeep. At that point they will become just as susceptible to these cancel cultists as all the other sites. Even if advertising is not used, they can go after Visa, Mastercard, Patreon and Paypal. They have this shtick down to a fine art.

Donate, and advertising will not be needed.

Another possible alternative: an equivalent to Reddit gold. It's not perfect, but at least it's not advertising, and it could be purchased with cryptocurrency to remove any reliance on payment processors.
