So, most college educated people go into what would have been office junior positions 20 years ago. They are mostly just over hyped secretarial colleges now. Providing workers who can use computers and say the right things rather than furthering knowledge.

In my workplace (Commonwealth Public Service) there are indeed more women than men. However, as soon as you break that down by promtional level (hierarchy), you quickly see that the glass ceiling is well and truly in existence. That is women outnumber men in the lower graded positions but, as soon as you hit middle management, and, even worse, senior management, the pendulum has well and truly swung.

I was allowed to attend college to get a "Mrs" degree - that is - I was allowed to go to college so I'd be around college-education men, and catch a husband. Afterward, I wouldn't focus on my career - just my husband and children.

A lot of women with degrees are expected to get "Mrs" degrees - not have careers.

Well, if that was true which it isnt with all this wummin empowerment then why are american, and western birth rates in fact so low that they have to rely on immigrants to increase their workforce? Why are women allowed to marry each other then? Why are so many women just throwing out rape accusations to propel themselves in positions of power? Waiting for a women to go to college to find a man isnt effective, if a nation does in fact want to be succesful in reproduction women have to start getting married by 13-15 years of age and not wait for them to have kids at age 25 or 33...
