I doubt it will actually be effective, though I'm participating anyway, because I operate on principal even if I don't expect it to work.

I don't care in terms of it's impact on Reddit, I do care in terms of getting anybody we can to start using alternatives. The main excuse so far is that alternatives are too dead.

TBH it's given me a few ideas on how to get back on SaidIt more often again. There are a few subs I really like that are missing, so I might make my own alternatives them, perhaps combining some of them to stay under the maximum subs moderated limit.
