How long has it been this bad with them ? I'm only noticing in the past three months or so.

It started when Ellen Pao was hired to be the CEO of Reddit. The first thing she did was guy the RES analytical tools. There used to be a RES feature that would show a post's percentage of upvotes vs downvotes. That would tell you if something was actually unlikable, or merely controversial. The removal of that feature, among others, is what started the dumbing down of Reddit as a platform.

It totally started with Ellen Pao. There was a sudden wave of subs being banned, and it continued to get worse until she was ousted. Things plateaued for a while after that, until 2016 election year and then the shitshow has just continually moved towards explosive diarrhea ever since.

I helped remove Pao. All in a day's work. I couldn't have done it without the high-iq of reddit's BoD!
