Yeah it's pretty funny and I'm actually very surprised they're banning it because I consider it to be relatively neutral.

And then banning WRD is just them covering their asses so the downfall of their own website isn't well documented (except on saidit)

maybe 1: the very idea that there is, or should be choice in politics, is under attack. there is only one way: the nwo way.

maybe 2: it's a sub that can be a seeding point of political unity. it is not polarizing enough, therefore the sub is dangerous.

For ages I've said their compass is wrong, and with too few axis.

Instead of square corners I want it in a sphere as the absolutes are not broad.

  • top = totalitarianism | bottom = voluntarism
  • back = deceptive/false | front = authentic/truth
  • left = social | right = individual

Every issue would be a dot on the map, and while you could average a position, I would prefer to see a cloud of dots.

The most problematic is the left/right paradigm as they have different issues. Further it's not just the individual/social thing there's also tribal/global which could use it's own axis - or rather have a triangular axis of individual-tribe-universal.

And it's still too simple. There's economics, other values, cultural engineering, morality, etc.

It is a sphere. With two major poles.

Compasses are designed to point to the magnetic North Pole.

The opposite side does not always point to the magnetic South Pole.

A 3D sphere can have 3 axis, X Y Z, with 6 poles.

North without South is a 1D point. There's always an opposite direction, included in electromagnetic fields.

Magnetic poles and rotational poles do not share the same axis.

Rotational poles are 180° away on opposite sides.

Important facts for the future:

  • Magnetic poles are not 180° apart.
  • The Earth's magnetic poles actually appear to be converging at an accelerating rate.

I never said they did. Call it a political gyroscope if you like. Or make a toroidal 4D sphere if you like (though impractical for many reasons).

I never said the magnetic poles were 180° but I still insist they are opposites.

I am a little concerned about the magnetic apocaflips.

The admins aren't really bothering to use subterfuge now. They'll just ban or suspend all of the current mods, then lock the sub for being unmoderated.
