If HeyImSancho is correct, and it sounds plausible, the CoronaVirus is the catalyst that is directly tied to the potential collapse of the West.

That would be nice, but it's hard to say. This virus has the potential to cull the urban herd considerably; which could actually postpone the collapse of the west by reshaping politics towards more rural/nationalistic values.

Right? It's still doomed anyways due to unsound fundamentals, entrenched corruption, and screwed demographics; so I'd rather just get it over with rather instead of plodding along living dead style as it has been for the past 10+ years.
