Reddit went corporate though, its a lot like the state altering its tactics to contain the citizenry due to rising population numbers and snowballs toward being rogue.

Eventually, and this is a vague projection; but if trends remained the same- there would not even be a world news section, a conspiracy section or anything organic within 10 more years of that site. The majority of internet comments or communities would be bots that have passed the turing tests for human interaction, real people and real comments could just be banned outright because the bots would be hostile against them. Any error, even grammatical! Could be grounds for expulsion due to the increasing corporate cleanliness of the site-statist in charge.

Kinda-sorta like a walled in first world country that goes rogue by hating a huge chunk of the human element? Heads toward d00m.. just a vague projection though :P
