I’m confident that Reddit could sway [US] elections. We wouldn’t do it, of course. And I don’t know how many times we could get away with it. But, if we really wanted to, I’m sure Reddit could have swayed at least this [2016] election, this once. — Spez

Meanwhile:
-Reddit's head of policy has written articles suggesting that Trump and his supports are the equivalent of a Caliphate and must be stopped (while working for the Atlantic Council).
-Reddit's director of communications started her career working for Diane Feinstein and Progressive think tanks.
-Reddit censors what it describes as the biggest community of Trump supporters on the internet.
-Reddit's CEO has admitted to surreptitiously editing comments in this same community due to its criticism of him
-Reddit now censors meme focused communities dedicated to r/Mr_Trump
-Reddit tells the media it will not censor the name of the alleged Trump whistleblower while it censors multiple posts in this community for doing so (a fact which will later be held against it to maintain the censorship of the community via quarantine)
-Reddit suspends project veritas
-Reddit shutters legal communities dedicated to homemade firearms while Spez signs public letters calling for more gun control
Reddit's head of policy says:
The purpose of quarantining a community is to prevent its content from being accidentally viewed by those who do not knowingly wish to do so
How is it at all reasonable to apply this standard to supporting the incumbent of an election in a democratic republic?

I used to say that was impossible, that reddit could effect the election, tha it is not that big a site, but I have been seeing it mentioned and referenced more and more on fb by my boomer relatives
