Perhaps because the post is unrelated to science or to that social science post. If you apologize to the mods, the'll likely let you back onto /r/science (if you really want to be there). The bullying of that kid could have happened with any number of other kids, and it may still happen, partially because of the poor economy in the US. And he should have reported it, as I think others agree on.
