The Invaders - The Enemy
*A nurse (Barbara Barrie) tends to a mortally injured alien (Richard Anderson) who begins a horrifying transformation. *
#22 - S2E5 - October 3, 1967
I mostly know Richard Anderson from The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman, but he turns up in many of these old shows.
I do wonder why he didn't just revert back to the aliens original form. Instead, it looked like he was just melting.
Lost in Space - The Golden Man
Penny befriends a froglike creature involved in a war with a leader of another civilization.
#44 - S2E15 - December 28, 1966
The golden man's true form looked a bit like The Elephant Man, and he turned out to be the evil one, which completely sent the wrong message that they were trying for, judging people on what's inside.
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea - The Buccaneer
An insane art collector (Barry Atwater) hijacks the Seaview in an attempt to steal the Mona Lisa.
#22 - S1E22 - February 8, 1965
I'm not really sure why so many people have been impressed by the Mona Lisa. It seems to be famous for being famous, kind of like the Kardashians. There are many artists who are much better. One I like is
Marcello Barenghi, a phenomenally talented and skilled artist who can draw and paint not just perfectly realistically, but hyperrealistically.
Land of the Giants - Collector's Item
*A giant (Guy Stockwell) plans to use Valeria in a plot to murder his rich uncle. Valerie becomes the centerpiece of a golden music box when a he captures her and puts her inside it as a dancing figurine, but the box is rigged as a bomb.
#33 - S2E7 - November 2, 1969
That certainly had an explosive ending!
The Time Tunnel - Visitors From Beyond the Stars
*Aliens (Jan Merlin, Fred Beir) enslave Tony and Doug in a plan to strip 1985 Earth of all sustenance. *
#18 - January 13, 1967
The aliens weren't very impressive for being from the far future. When the future arrives, as it were, it's most often decidedly underwhelming.
This episode makes use of Bernard Herrmann's music from the film The Day the Earth Stood Still and 'high tech sci-fi' sound effects from the film Forbidden Planet.
Planet of the Apes - The Horse Race
Gordon rides in a horse race for the life of a blacksmith's son.
#9 - November 8, 1974
I'm reminded of a quote from One Crazy Summer, "The only way to win, Theodore, is to Cheat!".
Of course Gordon still manages to win, and chaos breaks out, and everyone gets away.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
