Good catch, thanks for posting this!

Had always expected the social scoring/credit system to come into play, and assumed those would have been used extensively to silence dissent in the Hong Kong independence protests. The communist party has always understood that power comes from the barrel of a gun - their citizens have none, and the army reports directly to the communist party.

While it's shocking to see happen in real time, I'm honestly not surprised by it. Hopefully this further wakes people up to the coming dissolution with the tech obsession.

Are we sure that it is even an "outbreak", and not a pre-planned grip on the citizenry by the Communist Party? They are putting their dissenters into the quarantine areas after all.

Edit: I now wonder if President Trump, or anyone else within the government, has a plan to use this to kill off a few million Americans.

Wow. They almost certainly did this all on purpose.

    From HK, interviewed by Molyneux

The HKer explains how the Chinese culture is very different from the west. It also explains why the totalitarian communism is working so well.

    In China: Government=Family

The Chinese traditionally see the family as more important than the individual. The child should always listen to the parents. This is also true in some middle-east cultures.

In the tradition, the government is a part of the greater family.
And as a child-family one should always listen to the government.

This tradition makes the totalitarian communistic system very strong. And dissidents are seen as children that need to be re-educated and controlled.
This makes it very easy to monitor dissidents, or even install a monitoring system.

But regarding the tradition I do not think that most people in the Chinese government want to do directly harm the people in general.
This would be like harming your own children.

But there is certainly corruption and criminality in the governments. Maybe there is an agency within China that has as much freedom as the CIA.
In fact, the CIA seems to work in China on such diseases and other technology. The Chinese military has almost the same weapons as the USA, like stealth fighters and drones.

    The Fuck-up

This time, I think they fucked up, and hide behind their status to make everything seem ok. So covering up the reality of the problems is a part of their job.
But because the disease spreads so easily, they are also overreacting to keep it under control, and to keep reality hidden.

The virus itself seems to mutate very quickly, which makes it impossible to make a standard vaccine.
A person surviving the corona-disease can get the disease again. This could be a biological weapon, but it has not been very lethal (yet). Ebola, Anthrax and HIV have much higher death rates.

I think that we should look deeper into who (or what) made it and how it got released. The CIA has done stuff like this before, and this might be the Chinese version of the Tick disease.

An acquaintance of mine with family in China told me tencent has mostly shut down the internet there so that people cannot tell the rest of the world how much worse it is than is being officially reported.

This reeks of a terrible social experiment to gather data on how to completely control the populace. And I don't mean an experiment just for China.
