Nothing wrong with Ubuntu, just a matter of preference. For someone who’s a gamer, and doesn’t want to deal with Windows, they may want to use a distro that’s “cutting edge”, such as an Arch-based distro (Manjaro for example). For the average person, a Debian based distro (Ubuntu or Linux Mint for example) will be good enough.
